Do you introduce your dc by their full name or nickname?

My new baby is called Genevieve. I am not sure about how to introduce her to people. I did worry the name was too long and grand so meant for her to be nicknamed Evie.
Should I introduce her by her full name or her nickname do you think?
What do you all do?

My DSD2 and DS are both introduced (always) by their nicknames.

DSD1 by her 'full' name.

Evie is a lovely name in itself, so seems quite reasonable to use that while she's young.

I always say her full name but it means people often look a bit when I then use her nn.

Problem is, I love both, so don't want to never use her full name.

I would introduce her by her proper (full) name - Genevieve is beautiful! Once she gets older, she and/or her friends will find a suitable nickname anyway.

Genevieve is a lovely name.

I usually introduce ds1 by his full name. We always intended to use the shortened version, but the full one seems to suit him more (use both at home - I tend to call him the full version, dh the shortened version). Ds1 refers to himself by the longer version too.

Ds2 is always introduced by his full name, although we never call him by it at home.

i love the name genevieve but DH vetoed it. i think it depends to be honest but i would always introduce child for first time by their full name and just let nickname evolve.

My children introduce themselves by their full names yet we rarely call them that at home and family and friends tend to use their nn too...
