It's quite Scottish...

Jeanie is nice, but I'd probably go for Genie.
My 85yr old MiL is Jean!

It could be short for Jeanette? I'm sure I've heard that one. I like the name - don't think I'd use it myself but I do like it.

spenthen · 20/04/2009 20:58

Sorry, it sounds menopausal to me.

Ivykaty44 · 20/04/2009 21:05

I know a 16 year old Jean and she is a beautiful and very kind, certainly not an old fuddy duddy, her sister is Joan so perhpas they had a Joan verse Jean and both won in the end

Jean can be short for regina and I have a french riend named Jeannie apparently it is french for Jane

IwishIwasmoreorganised · 20/04/2009 21:08

Jean does nothing for me as a name - it seems just to plain and uninteresting.

What about Georgina? You could shorten that to Jean for every day use?

FeelingLucky · 20/04/2009 21:52

Love the name Regina, but know DH would hate it
