Hello mums!

We're expecting a boy in July and i'm tearing my hair out trying to think of a name. I know I guess we were all in the same boat...

Was wondering if anyone had any suggestions? Or could reccommend a good site?

I like older names as in Alfie, Archie ect...but ruled those out because where I am up north they are EVERYWHERE.

Have a little lady already who's 5 and she is Grace.(amazingly the only one in her year too) Have no problems thinking up millions of girls names but boys i'm finding really tough

Many thanks in advance x x x

Congratulations on pregnancy.

Difficult to advise as so down to personal taste. These were some of my favourites when choosing for my little boy,

Edward / Teddy
Benjamin / Ben
Jacob / Jake
Oscar
Patrick

Went for Oliver / Ollie in the end, and now it seems every little boy I meet is called Oliver!

How about these - all solid, classic boys names that aren't too common imo:

Daniel
Quentin
Thomas
William
Charlie

I love love love Ted, there's a tiny little boy at my daughters school named this and he's so cute I could I could steal him but our surname is Temple so this would sound way too porn star!

We are tres working class so I can't go for anything like Quentin.

Thank you so much for your suggestions x x

I really loved Archie, but it was a bit too trendy and so there were a couple of others floating around out there. In the end I went with Richie instead of Archie. I still love Archie. It's a great name. I know a few other ARchies under 5 though.

Victor is fantastic. SO cool it hurts my fingers to type it.
