Calling all Berts

what 'Bert' names can you think of?
I love Bert/Bertie as a nn, and am thinking of using Robert as the proper full name.

Though Robert is a bit dull in this day and age.

What else is out there? Have I missed something?

Albert
Hubert
Gilbert
Norbert (?!)
Bertram

I know a little girl christened Bertie - I don't hold with using shortened names as proper names usually but it really suits her!

Robert's a lovely name imho. Prob quite "retro" these days.

Oh yes - I always loved Roberta since i was a child - never too keen on the traditional nn of Bobbie, but a llittle girl nn Bertie is lovely (will tell dh tonight and see if we can put Roberta on our list!)

My ds1 is Gilbert, I thought it was quite versatile. Bertie is what we call him but when he's being all angst ridden and teenagery he can call himself Gil, and Gilbert as a full name is solid. Oooh he's very lovely!!!

My ds1 is Gilbert too. He hates being called Bert atm. Don't have Humbert. Hubert reminds me of Hubert Lane.

thanks for the opinions.
I like Gilbert too, but my father always used to refer to bogeys as "green gilberts" when i was growing up, so it's slightly marred.
