Was he the one with the blanket?

princessmel · 14/04/2009 14:24

Not my cup of tea

ellingwoman · 14/04/2009 14:26

How do you pronounce it?

Lean-us or Line-us?

Char09 · 14/04/2009 14:30

Did you never watch Peanuts, ellingwoman?

I think Linus is lovely.

ellingwoman · 14/04/2009 14:39

Yes - I loved Peanuts but as a comic strip! So I've never heard how it's pronounced
Quite like it but I would always associate it with a security blanket

smallorange · 14/04/2009 14:40

He'd have to have a blanket (wink)

V. cute.

My son is called Linus. Always loved Peanuts but thought Snoopy was a bit much and Charlie too widespread. He is 3 on Thursday and it really suits him. Plus he has tons of curly blonde hair and apparently in Greek it mneans 'boy with the flaxen hair'. Whenever anyone asks I say with a wink, 'oh yes the nobel peace prize winner 'Linus Pauling'

polltaxpoll · 14/04/2009 21:11

PS everyone says it as Line us, except my Swedish relatives who say it the other way
