Help - struggling for Boys name!!! Times running out!!

Hi have been musing for some time and dc3 is now due in 8 weeks, Dh and I are still to agree on a boys name.

We have 2 dd's and have no problem with girls names but I have a weird feeling this one might be a boy.

DD1 is Emily Alys (known but everyone except the dr's as Milly)
DD2 is Lydia Grace

If it is DD3 she would be either Beatrice Flora or Florence Rose.

We have a massive extended family on my mothers side DD2 is no 23 in the great grand children and really don't want the same name (iyswim). Would also like to avoid the same initial as either dd.

The only name we can nearly agree on is Edward ( yes same initial)but Dh has real issues as dd2 has chronic health problems which he feels already may make her feel the odd on out ( she's 22 mths at the moment, so this is all possibly over thinking the problem!)

So please good ladies Help!!!!!

PS if I don't respond immediatey my internet connection is shaky but seems to be a little better today!!

Nappyaddict

Last time we went for Jensen. We had chosen Jenna for a girl and didn't have a boys name at all. 20 week scan said boy so we masculined our fave name for a girl.

This is my current list so much more to choose from this time. Thanks for your help.

No problem Which ones did you get from my list?

Tommy · 15/04/2009 14:41

I have a Timothy which is not very common at the moment but a "classic" name I think - and can be shortened.

Meglet · 15/04/2009 14:46

Bruno
Hector
Ferris (child of the 80's here and was banned from naming DS that!)

nappyaddict · 15/04/2009 15:12

i can see why!

Hi DorisIsAPinkDragon,

These are my favourites if I have a boy:

Malachi, Marcus, Ethan or Joachim

nappyaddict · 15/04/2009 15:27

How is Joachim pronounced?

kitkatqueen · 15/04/2009 22:13

Nappyaddict, I picked up several names from other threads, but Jasper, Jared, and marcus are from your list, the others are probably on there somewhere tho! fab list!

Lorralaffs · 16/04/2009 09:57

Nappyaddict, Joachim: Pronounced Joe-kim

Also like Xavier from kitkatqueen's list.

I had a definite name for my first but it was for a boy and, of course, I had a girl. I ended up placing 8 names I liked in a hat and said there's no going back - and that's how we picked No.1 baby's name.

Expecting No. 4 and have boys' names but no girls' names so maybe that's telling us something...(again)!!!

nappyaddict · 16/04/2009 10:14

I right never heard that pronunciation before - only yo-a-kim, yo-a,keem yo-ar-kim

Isn't that the spanish version Joaquim?

popsypie · 17/04/2009 09:17

Hugh - think it matches Milly and Lydia really well

popsypie · 17/04/2009 14:44

Actually have just read that your OP again and seen that Hugo is one of the names you can't have, so maybe Hugh is not such a great suggestion. What about Richard? It is quite rare for a child these days, but is classic and a good strong name for a man.
