Some classic boys names please

My mind has gone blank, it's full of Moon Units and Dweezil Zappas.

We tend to go with 'unusual' names for our dc, balanced by a more traditional/ conventional/ classic middle name.

dd's is Isabella, ds's is William.

So I need some for this baby please, just in case a boy. Hit me!!

Richard with Richie for short.

Bella, Billy and RIchie

I also like Marcus, Peter, Dominic, Gregory in the classic category. Classic but out of fashion I like Donald, Howard and Victor.

LetThemEatCake · 05/04/2009 10:11

all middle names though Margot, so they don't tend to get shortened!!

I think I like Benedict best from these lists.

Maybe Matthew after my brother, that might be quite a nice gesture.

Bikerunski, I like you're list apart from Ambrose!?!

mumnosbest · 05/04/2009 12:10

My favourite Anthony (with a th not t) but I'm biased

HarryB · 05/04/2009 14:29

If I have another Boy, I'm going to call him Nicolas Henry.

LetThemEatCake · 05/04/2009 14:59

I think Zephaniah Benedict sounds great.

MargaretB My list is my dad, granddads, brothers, male cousins, nephews and uncles. Ambrose is a long standing family name of many, many generations (as middle name of eldest son of eldest son), but I do agree, it is a bit "out there" compared to the rest of the list. I love it, but am biased. My brother chooses to use it as his first name, but it really suits his big stature and gregarious nature.
