Littlefish · 01/04/2009 13:49

Now I think I would say...

Sa-feea
Same as weebump on Arri-aaaaa-na
Tah-lee-a (ie. emphasis on the first syllable)

Should be TahLEEa. Muse of the theatre, I think.

Arrr- ee - anna

One of my favourite Italian names

My friend has a Thalia, love it:
Tahl-ya

mumnosbest · 01/04/2009 14:28

Beware though if you're questioning pronunciation, so will everyone. Both my DC have names like these and get called all sorts, even when people have known them for ages and are corrected every time

LynetteScavo · 01/04/2009 14:30

Sa -fi- ah

A-ri-ah-na Tay -lee--ah

seeker · 01/04/2009 14:35

Saf-I-a
Ary - anna
THAY -lia

Had this one before - Thalia is a Greek word and it is definitely Th-. `I provided documentary proof!
