Will everyone always think of the ark when they first hear it?

Do you like it?

Love it, love it, love it and if this baby is a boy he's going to be Noah

PottyCock · 31/03/2009 09:27

I really like it but every man and his dog is using it at the moment and for that reason I wouldn't. We did consider it for our dc but decided against it because there seem to be so many now.

I love it, DS who is 2.3 is called it. There is only 1 other I know of around here, but like other posters have said, it is becoming popular. thanks to Chris Evans

Phoenix · 31/03/2009 09:42

I don't know anymore round here, but saying that i didn't know any Lewis' til we called ds it

KAEKAE · 31/03/2009 10:09

I quite like it, I thinks its a bit biblical but still nice.

LetThemEatCake · 31/03/2009 10:11

i love this name, would have had it for dd if she'd been a boy (she is actually Phoenix!)

Had gone off it by the time ds arrived 16 mths later, only because lots of them around. But still think lovely name, just wouldn't now choose for one of mine.

RachieB · 31/03/2009 10:19

I love it

FairLadyRantALot · 31/03/2009 10:23

Thunderduck · 31/03/2009 11:44

I love it.

MintyyAeroEgg · 31/03/2009 11:46

Haven't there been about 10 threads asking opinions on Noah lately? It is nice which I guess is why it is sooooooooo very popular nowadays.

kidcreoleandthehotcrossbuns · 31/03/2009 11:47

Lovely name

oysterpots · 31/03/2009 13:59

Nephew is Noah. Makes me chuckle when I hear SIL shouting 'NO, NOAH, NOOOOO!'

ja9 · 31/03/2009 14:03

Marthasmama · 31/03/2009 14:05

I love it. DD would have been Noah if she was a ds, oh and if DH would have let me!

Iklboo · 31/03/2009 14:05

I know two Noahs, It's a lovely name and really suits both little boys

UnrealisticExpectations · 07/04/2009 10:46

Bit late to catch up on this. DS is a 2yo Noah. I liked the name but I didn't want to call him anything too obscure so I'm glad its getting more popular. Although we loved it, I had to be sure it was 'on the up' before I'd go for it. My name was really uncool in my peer group (I still shudder when I hear it. Never forgiven my mum!) We love him being a Noah. We've met a couple. Maybe up until recent years people's first thought would be the ark, but I don't think that's the case anymore. And it's quite a nice thing to be associated with anyway - we've had some really nice ark-based prezzies and have no probs with the association. People will always put their own associations with names whatever you choose. If you've known someone awful/really nice with a certain name, you tend to be influenced slightly by the association initially.
