Sorry, makes me think of Watership Down and a slightly (very) bonkers girl I was at school with. Everyone called her Nut and sadly it was well deserved.

I like it! I always think it would suite someone who has well..hazel coloured eyes. I can't imagine a blue eyed Hazel for some mad reason

It works fine in the UK, but Hazel will not travel well into other languages...

I love it, but couldn't suggest it for my dd because my grandma's dog was a Hazel. (why can't people call their dogs DOG names?!!!)

My Auntie used to have a next door neighbour called Hazel and the neighbours the other side had a parrot who used to continually shout "HAY-ZUL" all day - think that might have put me off a bit but it's a pretty name
