I know a couple. Quite nice; getting quite popular in certain circles but it'll never be very common.

PuppyMonkey · 20/03/2009 19:31

Well it would make me think of Monty Knobsqueak which is a silly name we used to give taxi drivers etc when we were students - but then I am a bit odd.

pointydog · 20/03/2009 19:39

pretty awful

petitmaman · 20/03/2009 19:40

i love it.

LynetteScavo · 20/03/2009 19:40

I love it.

I'm a traditionalist so would go for Montgomery.

nickytwotimes · 20/03/2009 19:41

I like it in principal but it reminds me of Uncle Monty in Withnail.

DS2's middle name is montgomery which i think is gorgeous. However not sure i'd have chosen it as a first name . . .

KHS · 20/03/2009 20:01

Thunderduck · 20/03/2009 20:53

Awful imho.

CantSleepWontSleep · 20/03/2009 20:57

I've met a couple in my area (both babies). I like it, but think that you need to be at least a little bit posh to carry it off.

Leslaki · 20/03/2009 21:09

My mates wee boy is a Monty but so is my next door neighbours dog....

tummytickler · 20/03/2009 21:13

I know a couple of Montys age 10 and 4, and they are lovely, very boyish types iykwim.
I prefer Montgomery as a formal version, or Montague at a ush, but i guess Monty can stand on its own!
Its cute!

spicemonster · 20/03/2009 21:14
