I would really value some advice from other mums/mums-to-be on naming my little girl who is due to be born very soon.
I'm looking for a name that is quite unusual but not too strange. This is my list so far:

Freya (is it too popular?)
Annabel - would probably be shortened to Annie
Evany
Verity (too posh? - if there is such a thing!)
Xanthe (would people be able to pronounce it?)
Aura
Ember
Tula

Ds is Finley. Do you think it matters if his sister also has a name beginning with F, or ending with y or ie?

Thanks!

Don't like Ember or Evany. They sound a bit made up to my ears. How about Devany or September instead?

Aura is nice as is Auralee, Aurora, Aurelie, Aurelia, Maura, Taura and Isaura. So is Xanthe and Xanthia and Tula, Tulia, Tallulah and Petula.

Freya, Annabel, Annie, Verity are all quite popular. Annabella, Anne, Anna, Arabel and Claribel are better IMO.

What about Aurelia or Elodie?
Cecily
Margot
Beatrix?
Thea

I know of a Finley and Freya, I think they sound cute together.

Finley and Annabel go together as they both have scottish roots.

nappyaddict went all out.

Finley and freya has a nice ring to it.

try this

dont know whether this menaing would put you off tho.
"Freya may be taken as a variant of Freyja, name of a Nordic Earth goddess. Twin sister of Freyr, Freyja is the goddess of fertility and birth, also associated with death and the underworld. She is also a goddess of love and sexuality, of gold and silver.
The English day of the week "Friday" is presumably named after her"
