J A W....

I love Joshua and we really wanted to use BFs name Andrew as a middle name so that would make him

Joshua Andrew W....

Do you think it matters its not really bad.. is it? xx

ScummyMummy · 13/03/2009 13:31

I don't think that's bad. You only need to worry about things like POO, SEX, GIT etc, imo.

Iklboo · 13/03/2009 13:31

I know a VD and I was TB until I got married. JAW ain't that bad

KingRolo · 13/03/2009 13:31

mum2b09 · 13/03/2009 13:36

dd's initials are RAT. We will be teaching her that rats are loveable, clever and cute, whatever the other children might say.

PuppyMonkey · 13/03/2009 14:18

When have you EVER, EVER used your full initials on a day to day basis??? Mine are OMR and I can honestly say that is probably the first time I've written them down and I'm 42. I don't understand why this is an issue in the slightest. If it is such a dilemma, can't he just use JW?

kickassangel · 13/03/2009 14:22

i've worked in quite a few places where your initials are how you're referred to in all paperwork, and as a teacher some of my classes got named that way too.
thankfully, mine were 'cool', and the management were sensitive enough to alter any that would have been too awful.
my niece is 'BEG'

jenpet · 13/03/2009 14:23

Nah, I was a JAW until I got married, really, don't give it another thought..

mad4mybaby · 13/03/2009 14:24

my 16 week old is a JAW!!!!!!!!! i did think about the initials before we named him but now v glad ihes a JAW!!!

PuppyMonkey · 13/03/2009 14:25

Yeah but not your full initials kickass... it would always be OR for me, for example.

FAQinglovely · 13/03/2009 14:35

"I don't understand why this is an issue in the slightest. If it is such a dilemma, can't he just use JW"

and then he'd be one of those pesky door knockers

disclaimer - I actually think JW is finebut since this thread is about what other people will make of the initials just thought I'd add my tuppence

FAQinglovely · 13/03/2009 14:36

puppy - it could be OMR if initials were being used and there were more than one OR.........

PuppyMonkey · 13/03/2009 14:38

Oh yeah... never thought of that FAQ.

There is only ever one OR....

mum2b09 · 13/03/2009 14:40

haha i didnt say it was a huge issue i was just wondering if it was something my little one might get teased for.. he was going to be LAW RAW or JAW so either way it wouldnt have made much of a difference lol

BakewellTarts · 13/03/2009 14:41

Not a problem...BTW it is a cool nickname. I know a little girl who is known as jaws but mainly because she's rather good at using hers (for talking and nipping her sister)...

deegward · 13/03/2009 14:43

My dad is ARS !

KingRolo · 13/03/2009 16:16
