None of them sound very English, aren't they all Scottish/Italian/American? Whereabouts do you live?

Lucas or Luca

Lucas

LavenderStar · 09/03/2009 15:51

I personally think you might get asked why you called your son Luca if you aren't Italian etc? Luke is the English?

Beau is the name of Emma Bunton and also Louise from Eternel's son. It's very trendy but trendy names do go out of fashion!

dizzydixies · 09/03/2009 15:52

I know two boys called Luca
one has a half italian father so it suits him, the other is a wee ginger red cheeked gorgeous pudding of a baby that really should have been called George or something

mum2b09 · 09/03/2009 15:53

dont think iv ever heard that name round here. i really dont have a cue what to chose and times running out. i want a cool young name all the names iv heard lately seem to be abit old fashioned, but nothing to 'out there' iyswim it wouldnt go down well where i live lol x

Dizzydixies - very funny!

Mum2b09 - old-fashioned names are very popular at the moment. How about Dexter?

mum2b09 · 09/03/2009 16:05

yeah i know and i cant really bring myself round to liking any of the old fashioned names.. Dexter wouldnt really go with our surname. I never thought chosing a bay name would be this hard i might just call him Baby haha x

LavenderStar · 09/03/2009 16:13

Seriously?

dizzydixies · 09/03/2009 16:15

no? my Nephew is Nico and it quite suits him

LavenderStar · 09/03/2009 16:20

Oh sorry! . Just another Italian name ...

dizzydixies · 09/03/2009 16:21

well he gets away with it in deepest darkest Northern ireland

what kind of names do you like then? something new/trendy did you say?

mum2b09 · 09/03/2009 16:26

yeah i would like something quite new and trendy but nothing thats too unusual because of where id live id rather not say where but its not the nicest area and id hate it for my baby to be teased because of a name i had chosen..
