Middle name for Amelie

Think we've almost definitely decided on Amelie for our little girl but now stuck on a middle name - some we've thought of so far are:

Amelie May (family middle name and she will be born in May but I'm not sure if this sounds a bit twee with too many 'm's)

Amelie Kate or Amelie Catherine

Amelie Skye (I like this but husband thinks it's too alternative!)

our surname is Owen.
Not sure if single syllable middle name is the best way to go and need some inspiration.

I don't want to use Rose or Grace.

Thanks!

amelie may is a plus size clothing range - sounds nice though.

schneebly · 07/03/2009 20:54

I will say Catherine because that is my name

Dysgu · 10/03/2009 15:34

How about Amelie Florence? We have a Florence Amelie and I just love it - although she tends to be called Florrie.

Fimbo · 10/03/2009 15:49

Amelie Florentine

Amelie Luisa

Amelie Miranda

chaya5738 · 10/03/2009 16:23

I like Amelie Catherine, personally.

WowOoo · 10/03/2009 16:26

Amelie May or Amelie Sky. Think you need one syllabel middle name to make it sound nice.

chaya5738 · 10/03/2009 16:27

I actually think the opposite - a one syllable middle name sounds too twee in my opinion.

LongDroopyBoobyLady · 10/03/2009 16:29

I have an Amelie (not telling you her middle name tho) and agree with the others about the middle name being one syllable. Love the suggestions of Mae and Rae with it.

Kotek · 10/03/2009 18:59

I like all of them!

How are you pronouncing Amelie - A as in 'cat' or 'I am', or A as in father (ie more like an Ahh sound?)
Thanks

CrackopentheBaileys · 10/03/2009 19:10

Ava?

Wolfblass · 11/03/2009 13:09

A colleague named her dd Amelie Fleur - gorgeous!

I love Amelie Kate,

used to like Skye - but recently have just seen to many Skye's...

RubyBelle · 11/03/2009 15:17
