choosing a name for our baby girl is becoming a nightmare. Dh and i can't agree on a single one. Names i like; Allegra, Ursula, Astrid, Iris, Ophelia, Sylvia, Cecily. Dh likes; Neya, Nahla, Thalia, India. I like english and mediterranean names. Dh tends to like names of african/indian origin. We both like Sofia but not Soph/Sophie.

I can sympathise - your name tastes are quite different. Personally, I love your choices - especially Sylvia and Cecily.

I'm not too familiar with many names of african or indian origin, but I do have one friend with a daughter who is half-indian and she is called Tara. I think this is really lovely as it does work in both cultures.

Tara Cecily is a gorgeous combination.

What about Nadia or Maya?

Iris is nice, don't like Astrid, reminds me of the comic Asterix. What about Anisa, I think that is Indian?

I like Iris, Thalia and India.

Thalia is my favorite as i know a little girl called Thalia and she is the cheekiest little thing with rosy cheeks .
