Talia (as in Tayar)
Hayley
Jessica (dated?)
anne marie
Lydia Marie

(Faith Juliet is still my favourite, but I thought I'd see what people thought of these)

Jesscia is lovely classic name and cannot be outdated, best of the bunch IMO

ninedragons · 23/02/2009 12:31

Jessica is lovely, Lydia also v. nice. Not too keen on the others.

SmallShips · 23/02/2009 13:49

Jessica.

tiggerlovestobounce · 23/02/2009 13:55

Jessica is the best of those names, IMO.

MumOfBaby · 23/02/2009 13:55

Are people likely to shorten it to Jess or Jessi though? Hate both of those names but like Jessica.

jessica is lovely

talia, if pronounced as it should be, is also fab

SweetCheeksLovesSweetTalk · 23/02/2009 13:56

It will get shortened. I like Jess

MumOfBaby · 23/02/2009 13:57

I like Talia both ways. I don't understand why they're said different ways but they're the same spelling?

i have never heard it pronounced tayar only as

th - a - lia (soft sound)

or t - a - lia (hard T sound)

sweetkitty · 23/02/2009 14:02

Being biased as I have a Talia (see other thread) would have to go for Talia, pronounced Tah-Lee-Ah.

To be Thalia would be pronounced Tha-l-ia Th as in think.

also like Hayley

tiggerlovestobounce · 23/02/2009 14:03

I've only heard of it pronounced Taa-lia too.

MumOfBaby · 23/02/2009 14:06

Oh Good sweetkitty, you have one! Does she like her name? The baby name website I looked on had it pronounced as I put in the OP, but it makes more sense to be pronounced how you do it.

My Talia is 3 and I think it's a unique name for a unique child, she is very fiery and strong willed.

Some people do have problems with pronouncing it but I think they would have trouble with most names names IYSWIN, my Dad espeically winds me up, he still calls her Tal-yar which I hate, I am sure it won't be long until she corrects him.

Talia is a fab name go for it.

sonniebonnie · 23/02/2009 14:40

From your list I prefer Lydia, Talia and Anne (although prefer Anna).

I do find Jessica a little dated...nothing wrong with it, just doesn't sound as elegant as Lydia, Talia or Anna imo.

Don't like Hayley at all.

sweetkitty · 23/02/2009 14:47

Anna is lovely
