Rafferty is a lovely name.

Just about anything goes I would say - unless it begins in R or ends in y. Are you looking for traditional/ modern/ quirky??

Rafferty John?
Rafferty George?

I'd probably go with something traditional as Rafferty is a bit unusual... but that's just me!

Do you really think it's one of those 'anything goes' names? The DC wanted Marley, which although I like I don't want as a first name, so tried it with Rafferty but it doesn't sound right...I don't think.

No to Raferty Rufus though, and also no to Rafferty Marley - like I said in pp think you should avoid anything beginning with R or ending in Y (just my opinion though )

Lovely name. Makes me wish I was having another baby, although I know dh would not have it. I think the middle name should be one syllable, although Rafferty David is ok.

Out of interest, what would you shorten Rafferty to? Raff? I really hate Rafe as in the posh pronunciation for Ralph.

No, not Rafe! That man is irritating!

Would be Raffy I think. Am surprised partner likes it - he is quite macho arrogant type.

I like Noah actually.

Do tell me about PP here too if you want to - I have another thread on it. I'm scaring myself witless.
