Tillie is ok, prefer Matilda for full.

Prefer Alex to Alec.

Natalie is ok also.

Like alex or alec

Prefer Tilly to Tillie (but think that the world is now full of tilly/millie/lilly and maybe overkill!)

'fraid I don't like Natasha (mainly because my name is relatively similar and people always call me Natasha by mistake!)

oneblueandonepink · 04/02/2009 19:24

What about Natalia? nn Tally or Tilly

oneblueandonepink · 04/02/2009 19:25

Also prefer Alex to Alec

queenofbeas · 04/02/2009 19:34

I like them both OP, do you mean Tillie as shortening?

namehelp · 04/02/2009 19:39

Natalie is a good name, works for a little girl and an adult woman.

Not so keen on Tillie, ok for a nickname but not imo a full name.

RachieB · 04/02/2009 21:39

prefer Natalia,dont like Tilly/ie

and dont like Alec

bodiddly · 04/02/2009 21:42

I prefer Natalya/Natalia for a girl ... Talia for short. I think it is a little more sophisticated for when the dc becomes an adult. I don't mind Alec but I don't love it to be honest.

keepingitRia · 04/02/2009 21:48

I like Tally (for Natalie or Natalia), Alec will probably get called Alex anyway (and have vision of Alec Gilroy off Corrie)

BlueChampagne · 05/02/2009 15:08

Alexanders can also be Sandy if that helps.

1805 · 05/02/2009 18:37

Hmmm, Alec not gone down too well then! Didn't know there was a Corrie character called Alec.
We have a very English surname, so not sure about Natalia - although I do like it. Natasha a very close second so far. Thanks Everyone.

sunandstars · 05/02/2009 19:18

I love Matilda not so sure about Tillie.

What about Tess?

Know a couple of Natalies and have thought it a nice name.

lunamoon2 · 05/02/2009 19:21

I prefer Natalie to Tilly, think Tilly is a bit fluffy for a grown woman tbh.
Prefer Alex to Alec-don't know why.

sweetkitty · 05/02/2009 19:27

As a mum of a Talia I am biased but think it's a very pretty name

love Matilda nn Tilly too

cece · 05/02/2009 19:29

I prefer Nathalie spelling. Not sure I like how it gets shortened to Nat though.

RockinSockBunnies · 05/02/2009 19:46

Bucking the trend here but definitely prefer Alec to Alex.

Not so keen on Natalie though.

1805 · 05/02/2009 20:47

I'm liking Tessa now too.

Hulababy · 05/02/2009 20:49

I like Tillie/Tilly as short for Matilda.
Natalie is ok.
Not keen on Alec. If anything I'd prefer Alex, as short for Alexander.
