I hate the word Chav but there is nothing chav about either of those

I like Katie

Scott am not sure about, my friend just named her wee one Scott and I personally think its a name left over from the Neighbours Scott and Charlene days BUT there is nothing offensive about it, it vertainly won't be overused these days so there won't be many of them - its just not to my taste

Scott is a retro chav name, maybe that means you can actually get away with it now because retro is very 'in' right now!

Katie isn't chav, although the baby on shameless is called that...... it's a tad mainstream and boring though imo.

Anymore on your list?

Not really thought of anything else, I really like these names, but do see your point. It is virtually impossible to offend me.

do you have any criteria for your names? any other DC to give us a clue of your style? we could fire some suggestions at you?!?

Katie isn't chav - just a bit unimaginative. I actually prefer Kate.

Scott isn't 'chav' per se but probably what used to be known as 'common' ie in a Tracy, Darren, Gary kind of way.

Probably shouldn't have used the word chav, had imbibed a bit too much. It is actually for my neice and she used that phrase when she asked me if I thought the names were nice. I do actually like them but just wanted to know what other people thought.
