I used to work for a well-known examining board and there was a Fedora on their database. Whenever I saw it I made this face

Imagine finding yourself having to explain that 'yes you know it's a hat, but in Russia it's a girl's name...' for the fiftieth time - you'll get fed up doing that and probably wonder why you didn't call her Jane!
And also think of the hilarious people who'll be asking you what you'll be calling the next one - Homburg? Bobble?

ah I see, so you're just keen on hats as you have a vested interest as it were. Well, it's your baby and your choice, so if you like it, go for it! But it will be commented on (esp as you are both named after types of hats), so if you are at all sensitive about it, or easily bored of 'jokes' about it, then I'd avoid it really.
