Bumblelion · 15/01/2009 14:39

is my dd1's middle name, which obviously means I love it.

Laugs · 15/01/2009 14:41

I like it. Know only one Jasmine and she is grown up.

Mung · 15/01/2009 14:42

Very pretty name

girlandboy · 15/01/2009 14:42

It's the name of my cottage!

greenday · 15/01/2009 14:42

Yes, I like it!

I've not come across many Jamines, but at the same time, am aware that it has always been a popular name - eternally popular, but never so popular that it becomes trendy at any point of time ... IFKWIM.

choosyfloosy · 15/01/2009 14:44

I like it, but I'd say it definitely has a time-based profile ... I would say it didn't become popular until perhaps sometime in the 80s, and has been popular since then.

Here's an old-time Jasmine, sounds a bit of a one!

Posey · 15/01/2009 14:47

I like it. I only know one Jasmine and she is 3. I don't think I've ever come across another.

WindyWillows · 15/01/2009 14:47

I agree greenday, which is why I like it.

My cousin is a 21 year old jasmine. Think its a nice name, but she gets shortened to Jazz.... which I am not keen on.

WindyWillows · 15/01/2009 14:51

I like jas/jazz, its one of the reasons I am keen on it

OP posts:
NoBiggy · 15/01/2009 14:53

You've thought it through haven't you.

Go on, you love it.

(It is for a baby, not a gerbil or something?)

ThornyRose · 15/01/2009 15:07

I really like it

Haribosmummy · 15/01/2009 15:08

Yes, I know a Lassy, and she's a gorgeous little girl!

MrsMattie · 15/01/2009 15:09

Yes. Jasmine, Yasmin, Yasmina - all beautiful.

WindyWillows · 15/01/2009 15:12

Lassy?

OP posts:
Rindercella · 15/01/2009 15:16

I like it

Haribosmummy · 15/01/2009 15:17

I obviously mean Jassy, I simply can;t type...

WindyWillows · 15/01/2009 15:21

Oh I see Haribo

OP posts:
pinkdolly · 15/01/2009 15:23

My Jasmine is now 2 1/2, she does get shortened to Jazz or Jazzy, but we love all those versions anyway. We dont know any other Jasmines either.

I think it is a beautiful name, but then I am biased.
