Title says it all really! we are struggling to agree on a name for DD2 and this is a grower..

I love Elkie, I know a few people named Elke and one Alka.

Thanks for views,and alternatives. I do quite like Anya but its a bit of mouthful with our surname. Have been mulling over Elkie and not sure its the one. Last time it was so easy!!

my friends little boy is Elki i think it would also make a lovely girls name.

I think its nice, but isn't it usually spelt Elke (but pronounced Elkie)?

Makes me think "Alkie" and also Elkie Brooks of course (prefer "No More the Fool" - perfect to belt out in a drunken post break-up state).

I know an Elkie she is lovely woman warm, strong and successful. She also really liked her name.
