Hubbie and I are locked in debate. He LOVES the name Louis, I like it but am not 'in love' with that name. We both kind of like Eddie, and I am beginning to really like Arthur.
what do you think Mners? please help!
he would be --- Lake, little brother to Amelie.

xx

I really like Arthur but it was my dads name so i'm biased. Louis great too but maybe not with Lake, Edward really nice but would sooner have Ted/ Teddie to Eddie personaly its hard!

changer22 · 12/01/2009 21:45

Not keen on Louis Lake

Not keen on Amelie and Arthur

Like Edward Lake. Try Edward for a bit. We had the class phone list home the other day (with parents names on it) and a dad is called Edward. Looked so good.

Thomcat · 12/01/2009 21:48

Think I like Louis the best but not keen on it with the surnam.
So with surname in mind my choice would be Eddie.

Sesi · 12/01/2009 21:49

Louis is lovely and cool at the same time, but Louis Lake

Eddie is ok, but only if short for the fabulous Edmund.

Arthur - loads of people say Arfur, which ruins it a bit imo.

janeite · 12/01/2009 21:53

I like Louis but not sure it goes too well with your surname. I don't like Arthur at all tbh, sorry. Eddie I dislike but I love edward.

How about: Edward Arthur Lake - a lovely strong boy's name imho.

janeite · 12/01/2009 21:54

Edmund is indeed fabulous.

random · 12/01/2009 21:56

Louis

MrsSeanBean · 12/01/2009 21:58

Louis is simply beautiful IMO.

jellybeans · 12/01/2009 21:59

Eddie, on it's own.

loler · 12/01/2009 22:10

arfur lake - half a lake?

Louis Lake - doesn't work for me

Eddie Lake sounds very Rock! By far the best option!

janeite · 12/01/2009 22:13

Eddie Lake sounds like an American talkshow host, although I have no idea why I think this.

atowncalledalice · 12/01/2009 22:16

I have an Arthur! I think it's a lovely name Louis and Eddie (would you put Edward/Edmund on the BC?) are both nice too, though.

SoLongMarianne · 13/01/2009 08:55

kwym, janeite! Isn't there a Ricki Lake talkshow host?

moonincancer · 13/01/2009 10:21

i love Arthur, Art or Arty

CatchaStar · 13/01/2009 10:23

Love Arthur! You could shorten it to Arty.

Also really like Louis, but not keen at all on Eddie.

traceybath · 13/01/2009 10:32

I have an arthur and love the name.

Also nobody calls him arfur!

daisy5 · 13/01/2009 10:37

Louis is lovely
Eddie kinda American
Arthur - flat sounding

sophiesmummie · 13/01/2009 12:32

Louis or Lewis is lovely

BonsoirAnna · 13/01/2009 12:39

Louis Lake doesn't sound good at all.

Edward Lake sounds good, as does Arthur Lake.

Neeerly3 · 13/01/2009 12:43

I have an edward and an arthur, who we call Eddie and Arfie (or Arfa, don't think anyone pronounces the TH!) - not fond of Louis....mainly cos of our surname, Louis Langley is too much.

bubblebell1 · 13/01/2009 14:57

i love arthur but ds pointed out that cruel kids would call him half a brain... so def louie/lewis/louis. eddie is cool but so many of them now.

Neeerly3 · 13/01/2009 15:10

our Arthur is 'Arfa Teaspoon'......

kidcreoleandthecoconuts · 13/01/2009 15:12

Louis

pagwatch · 13/01/2009 15:15

I have a Louis so would always say that one BUT I think it sounds awful with Lake ( sorry)

Eddie Lake is v.cool

Arthur is nice but not in front of a name that is also a noun

Rindercella · 13/01/2009 15:18

Louis, Louis, Louis. What a fab name!!!
