Congratulations!

Zak would be my choice

MadameCastafiore · 07/01/2009 12:47

I would go for Zak as I don;t like the other 2.

Vincent was the Lion in Beauty and the Beast and a little short boy inmy class when I was growing up whp was always dirty!

Logan - reminds me of Johnny Logan and to me isn;t a proper name!

I like

Max
Felix
Oscar
Edward
Sebastian
William

All proper names IMO.

Clarissimo · 07/01/2009 12:49

Really don't like vincent (but you may be too young for just Good friends I guess)

Zak / Logan OK

Have sebastian george, samuel godfrey, stirling MAx and Harold jarvis- also like gabriel, Elijah, elliot, Adam, Scott ( this week)

mumof2andabit · 07/01/2009 13:11

Ooh thank you for the suggestions. I really like Max but dh says no.

Vincent was dh's choice and I do like it but the nn versions of it. Dd would have been Logan but I think we have decided it doesn't flow with ds and dd names. Keep em coming

Zak or Zachary

preggersplayspop · 07/01/2009 13:13

I like Ellis, Theo, Noah as well. Max too. Love Felix, but been veto'd by DH.

Zak is best one on your list, but I think it should be Zachary shortened to Zak for everyday use.

CantSleepWontSleep · 07/01/2009 13:14

Zachary.

annasmami · 07/01/2009 15:34

Really like

Vincent

Zacharias or Zachary

Not sure I like Logan, sounds like a last name..

Zachary and Logan

thumbwitch · 07/01/2009 15:42

Don't like Logan as a first name - too much of a surname or reminds me of Logan's Run (an old film about people being compulsorily euthanased at 35, I think!)

Zak as a short name for Zachary or Zachariah I like

Vincent - well, DS's 2nd name is Vincent for his paternal G'pa but I wouldn't like him to use it, or be called Vinnie!

I like Max and Felix too - but DH didn't.

yellowflowers · 07/01/2009 16:06

I love Vincent. Dh hates it. I like Victor too.

thumbwitch · 07/01/2009 16:57

pinching off another thread - what about Leo? That's a nice name

Littlefish · 07/01/2009 17:08

Zachary

BabyBaby123 · 07/01/2009 18:25

don't really like any of them but Zachary is ok

Nancy66 · 07/01/2009 18:39

Zac is the best of the bunch. Vincent will become 'vinnie' or 'vince' which is too chavvy for my liking.

Logan sounds too American.

mumof2andabit · 07/01/2009 19:17

Leon? Forgot all about it till just now....

jellybeans · 08/01/2009 07:13

Zak and logan are nice.

nooka · 08/01/2009 07:19

Leon is pretty cool. Otherwise I agree with the general consensus that Zachary or Zachariah, shortened to Zac is the best of your choices. Logan makes me think of Logan's run. Very 70's! Vincent is unlikely to stay shortened to Vin, I am afraid (my godmother was a Vin, short for Lavinia), and although I loved Just Good Friends, I don't think Vince is the best of names, and Vinnie has violent connotations.

annasmami · 08/01/2009 10:07

Leon is THE most popular boys' name in 2008 in Germany.

KatB · 08/01/2009 10:12

Hi
I LOVE Vincent but don't like Vinnie/Vin. The actual name I love but the connotations of Italian gangster etc puts me off.
Zak is a fab name, my nephew is called Zak, I love it, my fave out of the three.

Logan.. not sure, I don't LOVE it but equally it's not horrible.

JennieClare · 08/01/2009 14:24

I love Vincent - I gave it to DS1 specifically because of the Italian gangster connotations - after a 3rd degree tear all over my kitchen floor during a home birth it looked like a mafia scene and the name we had settled on (Ben) just didn't seem right! We're sticking to calling him Vincent so he can shorten it as he wants but if you call him Vin from the start I see no reason why that would change - if he introduces himself as that at school, work etc I don't see others lengthening it. I am currently picking a name for DS2 so am lurking on here for inspiration - good luck.

MadamAnt · 08/01/2009 14:25

Adore Vincent. It's on my shortlist.

blinks · 08/01/2009 14:37

I'm liking

Brody/Brodie

Cal

Magnus

Evan

Seb

Ben

Seth

cyteen · 08/01/2009 14:39

I love Vincent, was on my shortlist too. Don't like Zac or Logan.
