Am due for 20wk scan on the 6th we have a boys name all picked out - zak although no middle name yet but have been stuck for girls. We like the more unusual names and it has to with ds and dd names. So annalise what do you think of it? And other suggestions please

The name reminds me of the blond chick that was in Neighbours many many years ago. She made a come back on a TV ad a few years ago.

I don't like it, sorry.

mumof2andabit · 29/12/2008 19:00

Any other suggestions?

Its a lovely name, go for it!

I quite like it. And Annalise and Cara sound nice together as sisters.
Plus she can always shorten it to Anna if it ends up being too much of a mouthful. Anna is lovely.

Wolfblass · 29/12/2008 20:41

I love it

Everyone knows someone who puts them off a certain name (used to be Jasmine for me)

I don't know many Annalise'(s), could be a perfect choice for you and Anna or Annie are lovely for short!

festivedollyx · 29/12/2008 21:57

I think its lovely im considering it for our baby girl due in April!
We thought it would be good in a sort of tribute to our grandmothers who we have both lost recently one was called Annie and the other called Alice so hence we get reminded when we hear Annalise Annie Alice!!!

lizziebeth · 29/12/2008 22:04

I think it's a gorgeous name. Go for it.

And good point about it being shortened to Anna (which is equally lovely).

Lonnie · 29/12/2008 22:34

I like it but I have always prefeered Annalisa

bedearly · 29/12/2008 22:37

Analise is a great name.Go for it!

Pinkchampagne · 29/12/2008 22:37

Reminds me of that blonde girl in Neighbours

Ashantai · 30/12/2008 00:06

I love it

BlackEyedDogstar · 30/12/2008 00:09

very pretty name
though prefer Mrs Woolf's version: Anneliese

thumbwitch · 30/12/2008 00:28

I prefer Annalisa as well. As it is a Scandinavian/ Teutonic sort of name, I would be tempted to pronounce the terminal "e" on Annalise anyway, so I would anglicise it and make it Annalisa (also avoids any risk of her being called Anna-leyes, instead of Anna-leece)

lunamoon2 · 30/12/2008 12:40

I like it, very pretty!
