I have an Angelina and am thinking of William Robert for potential Baby no.2 Billy for short

That would mean I would have a Billy Bob and Angelina...
they are not even together anymore but DH thinks it is hilarious

belgo · 21/12/2008 15:10

I would never make the connection.

Nancy66 · 21/12/2008 15:12

It would take a lot of working out to get to that point...so don't let if put you off

It's funny when you mention it but i don't think too many would make the connection.

My grandparents are sid and Nancy

Dragonbrandybutter · 21/12/2008 15:12

i would, and i would presume you were a sleb fan.
they are good names, but it's just that together,

CrushWithEyeliner · 21/12/2008 15:13

Is Billy Bob going to be his nickname?

CrushWithEyeliner · 21/12/2008 16:00

I do like Billy Bob actually so may be said now and then.......

I wouldn't ever make the connection ...

TheFalconInThePearTree · 21/12/2008 16:19

I wouldn't use it I'm afraid.

I don't like Billy Bob at all. It makes me think of the deep South of America. It sounds like a character from The Dukes of Hazzard.

DoubleBluff · 21/12/2008 16:22

DS1 is William Robert.
I ws gutted when a work colleague said ' here comes Billy Bob when i took him into work'
Would never have occurred to me to shorten it to that!
He is Will
But unfortunately Will Smith ( is that worse?)

CrushWithEyeliner · 21/12/2008 16:23

Yes it is deep south isn't it? I quite like it as a UK name...

I would never make the connection either. Besides, they will spend most of their lives not being spoken of in the same breath. It certainly wouldn't stop me choosing those names if I liked them.

ElfOnTheTopShelf · 21/12/2008 20:12

My dh's grandparents Franky and Betty. It always makes me chuckle, though most people wonder why

prettybutterfly · 21/12/2008 21:44

I would make the connection and not be mad keen. I don't think they sound like stablemates tbh.

dizzyjingles · 21/12/2008 21:45

my parents were Bob and Mary so I always sent their mail Rab C and Mary Doll (nesbit) much to my mothers disgust, she was more of a hyacinth bucket!!

I don't think many will put two and two together so wouldn't worry about it at all

chandellina · 22/12/2008 10:45

i wouldn't notice

Ashantai · 22/12/2008 15:42

Sorry must not be much of a sleb watcher, id never make the connection

poinsettydog · 22/12/2008 15:53

hmmm. I would make the connection. I would wonder if it was intentional and then be slightly concerned about the parents' thought processes

Rozebud · 22/12/2008 19:44

Nobody will remember Angelina and Billy Bob in years to come, surely?

mummyplonk · 22/12/2008 19:47

No 99% wouldnt notice William Robert is a lovely name (the other way round is nice too)

CrushWithEyeliner · 22/12/2008 20:17

It is a lovely name isn't it?

v hard to make this decision....

pamelat · 23/12/2008 09:06

I dont know what the Angelina and Billy Bob link is ???????????????

BucketsofReindeerPoo · 23/12/2008 15:57

Thing is, now you've thought of it, at least one of you won't be able to resist using Billy Bob as a nn. One of the reasons I don't like William is the nns Bill or Billy.

BlueChampagne · 30/12/2008 22:27

Don't think anyone will be bothered in 10 years time. Maybe steer clear of Brad for a bit though ... PS Angelina makes me think of the Dylan song Farewell Angelina before I think of La Jolie.

nula · 30/12/2008 22:35

cool!
