Am expecting any day and still not decided on a name. DS1 is Freddy and looking for something quite traditional but husband wants nothing too common, ie top 10. I like Joseph, Harry, Michael, Daniel but he says too many of most of these. Want to decide now or he'll end up nameless for days!

Here are some names from our list - do they float your boat?

Justin
Aidan
Laurence
Francis

I like Francis and especially Frankie for short. Taught a Frankie I really liked!

Since you have a Freddy, you'll probably shorten the next one, so think what any name would shorten to. Willy? Possibly not!

Lots and lots of Joes and Harries (Harrys?) about.

Henry? Beric? Benedict? Mungo? Cosmo?

(Just disproved my point, as I cannot see how you could shorten Cosmo or Mungo)

Freddy and Frankie go well together imo

Avoid another F name - postal mix ups in the future, happened in mine and DH's family not good.

Hugo

I think Freddie would go well with

Oscar

or

Quentin

or

Tristan

None of which are that popular.
