Don't like Valentine personally but the rest are ok.

MrsBadger · 17/12/2008 14:19

Valentine I could not do for a boy

and Daisy I could not do ever - I find it lacking in dignity.

Arthur and Clementine are both nice, though I think something as long as Clementine needs a short middle name - Grace? Rose

rubyslippersisappearinginpanto · 17/12/2008 14:20

arthur and clementine are lovely but i do not like valentine or daisy

schneebly · 17/12/2008 14:22

I agree with ruby

migolapland · 17/12/2008 14:24

Not keen on Daisy, but love Clementine. Also really like Arthur Valentine (sounds like a film star's name) but I don't think he'll thank you for his middle name when he's older

audley · 17/12/2008 14:44

Thanks for your replies. Daisy is a family name so pretty sure we'd stick with that, but, any alternative mn suggestions for Arthur???
Cheers

I like Daisy a lot (I have one so am biased). I don't like Clementine or Valentine and not fond of Arthur either if the truth be told. Barnaby is utterly, utterly wonderful and gorgeous!

I like the sound of Barnaby, Daisy and Ben together / or Barnaby, Daisy and George (if you could stand it!) / or Barnaby, Daisy and Sam.

janeite · 17/12/2008 15:12

Agh - just read again and you've got George already!

How about: Luke / Vincent / James or Laurence?

I have a Daisy too!

At the end of the day it is what you like that counts

audley · 20/12/2008 10:01

Thanks Vronsky! and everyone else for your suggestions. Janeite, Luke was my original mn choice to go with Arthur but thought it a little plain with Barnaby George?

I have a Daisy and want to call my baby Clementine if its a girl. Is it getting popular?? What about Arthur Jude? Also, do you think a long middle name can go with Clemintine? Clementine Amelia?

audley · 20/12/2008 11:18

Hi ceeceeanne, funnily enough Barnaby was nearly Barnaby Jude but the initials BJ put us off...Clementine seems to be getting popular at least on these boards, I know of a few mum's who have gone with the name in real life. Also Clemency is another option some prefer. I think clementine Amelia sounds great, I don't agree that longer fn need a single syllable mn personally. Hope that helps!

Clementine needs super simple name like Jane or Mae

ceeceeanne · 23/12/2008 15:18

ha ha Audly can see what you mean about BJ! I gave Daisy the middle name Jude even though its generally a boys middle name cos i liked it so much! My partner prefers Clemency but I love Clementine. Cant believe its getting popular, I honestly thought it was nearly unheard of! My daughter has suggested the middle name Amelia and i like it but also Mabel, Mary and Olive. Only problem is does Clementine Olive sound like a shopping list? And will a middle name starting with M go with a sirname starting with M? So many questions but you and I seem to share a liking of fab names!!

maretta · 23/12/2008 15:21

I like them both - lovely.
