I prefer it spelt with an S not a C, but it's quite sweet.

HarktheheraldAnglepoise · 15/12/2008 18:09

I prefer S as well. It's okay. Makes me think of Fawlty Towers though I'm afraid!

BoccaDellaNativita · 15/12/2008 18:09

I've always liked Sybille but there is the Fawlty Towers association to think about. A role model of an assertive career woman, maybe?

LynetteScavo · 15/12/2008 18:09

Loathe it - but only becuase an ex-boyfriend cheated on me whith an increadibly georgous model called Cybil.

She was actually quite a nice person, but it's always tainted it for me.

ButterflyBessie · 15/12/2008 18:11

Will deffo be C not S, but not universal dislike then

oh my its hideous!

RachieB · 15/12/2008 23:11

on a par with Ethel,or Hilda for me

( which is not a good thing BTW lol)

delightedoldbag34 · 15/12/2008 23:12

Makes me think Fawlty Towers too.
Sorreeee!

dizzyjingles · 15/12/2008 23:13

not to my taste

what about Celia of Cecelia?

delightedoldbag34 · 15/12/2008 23:26

Or Cecile?

That is really pretty.

Although there is nothing wrong with Sybil / Cybil if you consider that Fawlty Towers won't be of her generation and neither will that awful blonde american woman who was also Cybil.

That would be the only thing holding me back from using it. Acutally it's growing on me. It is quite cute

RachieB · 15/12/2008 23:38

as in Shepperd ? from Moonlighting with Bruce Willis lol ? loved that programe haha

cece · 15/12/2008 23:39

How about Sylvie? Similar but a bit prettier.

Tortington · 15/12/2008 23:53

always makes me think of that horrific drama staring sally fields where she is a schozophrenic - with multi personalities becuase of the horrific abuse she suffered as a child.
it was called cybil

ButterflyBessie · 16/12/2008 13:32
