I absolutely adore this name so no comments will sway me but wondered what you would think if you heard of a baby with this name.

Love it.

dd1 had a friend called sadie at nursery.

Nancy66 · 14/12/2008 19:40

I really like it too - think it's one of those names that suits an adult more than a child - but I do think it's a great name.

Just makes me think of ___ Frost. Not a good thing. Sorry, but you did ask...

Santaisfeelingfunnypeculiar · 14/12/2008 19:48

Love it. But can't imagine a shortening that I like(not sure if that matters...but I do think that it's impossible NOT to have some sort of pet version of names)

annasmami · 14/12/2008 19:53

Its ok, but always reminds me of sadism/sadistic.... and I don't find it very feminine....So not a name I would choose personally.

singingtree · 14/12/2008 19:55

I love it. My favourite girls name

beforesunrise · 14/12/2008 19:55

bigknickersbigknockers · 14/12/2008 19:56

Love it, wanted it for DD but DH didnt like it.

merrykittymas · 14/12/2008 20:00

Sadie is DD1's middle name after my Gran

Sadie is a nickname for Sarah which of course means Princess

choosyfloosy · 14/12/2008 20:07

Love it. wd think parents were way cool.

skidoodle · 14/12/2008 20:08

nice

uglybugly · 14/12/2008 20:09

A friend of mine named her DD Sadie. We all thought 'hmmmm' - as it was so uncommon then (her DD is now 19). Of course, it is such a cool name - really suits her - and still uncommon enough that your DD wouldn't end up in a class full of other Sadies

eekareindeer · 14/12/2008 20:13

Lovely.

My DS has a friend called Sadie (she is 5) and she is the only one I know of, so definitely not in the Ava/Eva/Evie or Ella/Ellie/Nell camp of very common atm.

dinkymum · 14/12/2008 20:24

hink its lovely fot all ages!

dinkymum · 14/12/2008 20:27

sorry for all typo's multi tasking!

LiffeyCanSpellGeansaiNollaig · 14/12/2008 22:06

I really like it. To me, it doesn't start with Sad, it starts with 'say' and ends with dee. But I see where you're coming from because I could never use Madeliene because it starts with Mad, and I'd certainly never use Scarlet because it starts with 'scar'.

Bubbaloo · 14/12/2008 22:42

I know a baby Sadie and also my great nan was Sadie(Sarah) and it suited both of them.

VinoEsmeralda · 14/12/2008 22:46

KatieDD · 14/12/2008 22:55
