Has anyone ended up just settling for a name because they couldn't find one they loved?

We're trying to name DS2 at the moment and it's a massive struggle. DS1 was named from about 12 weeks pg and we agreed on the name straight away.
This time round, it's like DH and I aren't even on the same planet. There's barely anything we can agree on and those names that we do agree on are only in the 'ok' bracket.
Has anyone ended up with a name they thought was only ok? Just wondering if I would grow to like it, or end up regretting not looking harder for something I loved?!

hairymcleary see my first post - as I said, you could have been us a few years back, and funnily enough, your DH's suggestion (yes the russell crowe one!) is our DS1's first name!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We called him that before Gladiator as it is latin and means "the greatest, strongest" and we knew that DS1 would be having a couple of op's so seemed appropriate. We call him anyhting from max, to Mazi, to Maximoo, to Maximoo mee.....Never emt another one although there are lots of Max's about. DS2 is called Monty and both have Macloed in their names (DH mum maiden name)

Let us know how you get on!
