Hi everyone,

This is the first time I have posted on here but have often had a look at your posts for inspiration and love your honest opinions.

What do you all think of Arlo for a boy? I'm loving it more and more every day but would love opinions.

Thanks in advance,

I like it. It's unusual but nice and simple at the same time.

Pinkjennybellrock · 09/12/2008 14:30

Isn't this what Natasha Kawhatserface has called her son?

Like it, though.

I like it, is it Italian?

frankbestfriend · 09/12/2008 16:13

Hello

Lovely name

Majeika · 09/12/2008 16:21

Not keen myself but if you like that type of name then Arno and Alfio are a bit different.

Servalan · 09/12/2008 17:15

If you like it go for it

Only thing is, it makes me think of Harlow New Town in Essex.

The locals pronounce that 'arlow...

I believe Alro Guthrie sang a song called Alice's Restaurant. Don't think it's a movie.

I really like it - never met anyone called Arlo, though.

Is it Old English or Italian?

choosyfloosy · 09/12/2008 17:50

Excellent name. Congratulations

AtheneNoctua · 10/12/2008 08:41

I stand corrected. There was a movie. I only knew the song. Sorry

LuP · 10/12/2008 10:38

I love it but as we live in SE London DH says there's no way we could name a child that living as close as we do to the lovely Essex town of Harlow...
