We've picked a boy's name, but stuck for a girl's name.

What do you think of these:
Blair
Liberty
Libbi
Izzabella
Izzabelle
Luca

Boco · 07/12/2008 23:09

No no, that's fine,if it isn't nice enough. [sulk]

Only joking it's not to everyone's taste of course.

Lois is cook as in Lane.

How about Labia?

zebedee1 · 08/12/2008 06:54

Lila?
Lilianne?
Coco?
Scarlett?

madetobeamum · 08/12/2008 08:21

Really like Thea and Lyla. I like Liljana (lily-ana) rather than Lilianne but DP doesn't.

Tim Allen's daughter on Christmas with the Kranks is called Blair- that's where we heard it.

dd3 has a Lara and a Leoni in her class, both pretty names. I like Libby but would have it as short for Elizabeth rather than Liberty. dd1 is Isabella so that's my favourite from your list

Hulababy · 08/12/2008 18:21

Blair - I would have assumed boy, sorry
Liberty - OK, friend of DD called this. Not what I would choose but grown on me over last couple of years/
Libbi - Prefer this as a nn for something like Olivia or Elizabeth
Izzabella - prefer Isabella
Izzabelle - prefer Isabel
Luca - I thought this was a boy's name also

seeker · 08/12/2008 18:28

If you're going to go for Libby, then name her Elizabeth but call her Libby from day 1. That gives her choices later in life - she may think Libby is a bit babyish when she's an adult.

seeker · 08/12/2008 18:29

Oh, and please don't spell Isabel/Isabelle/Isabella with zs - it's not big and it's not clever!

Lotster · 08/12/2008 18:36

Oh I love Libby, my husband won't have it...

Blair is really masculine TBH.

nappyaddict · 09/12/2008 13:33

Izzabelle/a don't like the spelling but also very very popular.

Libbi again I would spell it Libby but also very popular.

Why make a gorgeous name like Isabelle uglier? Izzabelle just looks ridiculous and she would spend her life having to correct people.

Blair, Luca - for boys

Liberty - chavvy but the right girl could carry this off; could be Libby for short!

Libbi - again, a lifetime of having to spell out your name for people, very boring for her. Libby better.

DeckHallsWithFIMBOughsofHolly · 09/12/2008 13:39
