I REALLY need help. DH and I just cannot think/decide/agree on a name for little boy due in february, our little DD is called Millie and it really suits her. Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks in advance xxx

Thats just it theres not really any we both agree feels complatetly right. i like names with character like Edward, George, Jimmy etc if that makes sense where as DH likes Lewis maybe Luke and nothing against those names both lovely but just dont get that tummy pull feeling? maybe hormonal and irrational... certainly dippy beyond belief! lol

What about something Old English? Edmund, Alfred, John, Edgar, Edwin, Wilfred, Stephen etc? We have a chart of Kings and Queens of England - might be a place to look?

That was quite interesting I put my children's first names into that website and it came up with some truly awful suggestions (to me that is ). Then I added their middle names, and the name of the ds we didn't have (having dd instead) and the ideas were much better (although we wouldn't have chosen any of them). Good concept.

DodgyApostrophe · 21/11/2008 20:43

Billy.

dinkymum · 21/11/2008 21:40

Thanks for all the sugestions! They're really useful! We have a difficult surname and know lots of people who seem to take up names we like! Plus me and DH are equally fussy, but unfortuntely it seems in opposite ways lol

pointydog · 21/11/2008 22:56

i've got a Millie (she's Millicent, though), and an Elliot.
I wasn't too fussed about whether they 'go' together, but i think they do.

dinkymum · 22/11/2008 20:17

Ohh its so hard! thanks so much for the suggestions so far! Its not so much that it needs ro go with Millie its just that I thought it was a good inclination into taste in names? if that makes sense!?
It is really helpful to see what other ppl suggest too though.

Seth (wish I'd found this for ds2)

We've got a patch (think I was on April 03 with you lockets?!) there aren't many about and lots of people have said they love the name.
