What do you think?

girlandboy · 14/11/2008 09:35

For a girl or a boy???

girlandboy · 14/11/2008 09:37

This is what I first thought of!

PictureThis · 14/11/2008 09:37

Honestly? I don't really like it for either, sorry.

Fimbo · 14/11/2008 09:38

I don't like it - there is a girl at dd's school who spells it Caycee.

NoBiggy · 14/11/2008 09:40

Casey Jones. Drives a train.

fizzpops · 14/11/2008 09:42

Casey Affleck

smellyanne · 14/11/2008 09:51

we were thinking for a girl...

Assuming it's for a boy, it's nice, what does it mean? I like Carey too (met a v attractive one once).

Don't think it matters whether it's chavvy - who knows what will be chavvy in ten/twenty years? (I think my ds's name could be considered 'chavvy', but then dd is named after a literary pioneer )

largeginandtonic · 14/11/2008 09:54

I quite like it for a boy or girl really.

I don't know any.

BabyBaby123 · 14/11/2008 09:55

i don't like it - but if I had to chose for a boy or girl I'd say it's better for a boy...

Nancy66 · 14/11/2008 11:00

don't like it and especiall not for a girl and to answer your first question - yes, it is a bit.

RachieB · 14/11/2008 15:39

Casey is a girls names isnt it?! know a few baby girls called Casey but no males

louisejohnson87 · 14/11/2008 19:00

I really like the name. I think it suits both boys and girls.

For a girl its rather cute and for a boy its rather cool!

I'd go for it.

weepootle · 14/11/2008 19:12

I know 2 Casey's (both girls), one is 16 and the other is 5. Not too keen but don't hate it.

AramintaAlice · 14/11/2008 19:22

Agree with DP, my 6yo daughter mentioned one in her class a few days ago and most of my older ones immediately said 'chav' in unison .

mumof3bs1more · 14/11/2008 20:11

I prefer casey for a boy rather than a girl!

dinkymum · 14/11/2008 20:27

I like it for both, I think its really nice and you should go for it IMO xx

FairLadyRantALot · 14/11/2008 20:28

like it for a girl especially

MinkyBorage · 14/11/2008 20:31

I agree with your dh. It is proper chav

NoBiggy · 14/11/2008 20:44

Carey?

Isn't that the name for a hole in your tooth?

NoBiggy · 14/11/2008 20:44

Carey?

Isn't that the name for a hole in your tooth?

Umlellala · 14/11/2008 20:58

Maybe...

found this Carey. Thinking maybe it was Cary and they just pronounced it Care-y?

Anyway, yes, Casey for a girl is more chavvy in my mind but does it really matter?

nickytwotimes · 14/11/2008 20:59

Don't like it.

NoBiggy · 14/11/2008 21:03

Umlellala, I think I've heard of him - maybe I saw him in some credits.

fruitstick · 14/11/2008 21:09

My nephew is called Casey. He's 18 and not chavvy in the slightest. Don't like it as a girl's name though.
