DS is 5mo, we never could decide on a name for him

Oh BBM... are you going to use one of the names you loved?
I think the register office site would have the information on how to do it.
Hope you're all well.

Hello

Nope, not allowed my choice of names but we had a middle name we sorted ages ago then completely forgot about until a few weeks ago and it really suits him.

It's kind of important it gets used and I guess we have to sort it out now really (not sure if you have seen my FB status or not, or are aware of situation).

Hope all is well with you.

Will start googling reg office site (bit dense today and didn't think of that )

i did it via deed poll when DD was 2, and it was very straightforward, did it all via internet, pretty much.

Oh... doesn't sound positive... will check fb later.

Found all the info here thanks

been wandering around the threads for the past few days wondering where all the people I usually recognise have gone and then I get two replies from people I do recognise on here

glad to be of service IIRC, it cost £56 to change DDs name

TheNewsMonger · 12/11/2008 18:16

My friend did this. Her dd's birth cert now has an addendum and I think the original bc has been marked to show that there's an addendum which must also be presented when appropriate.

Do it now. Don't let it bother you for the next 20 yrs.

EPPM - sorry I missed you last night.

Thanks a lot for your message - I did get it but not until 1am when you had (strangely enough) gone to bed DS has been poorly so I've been keeping some strnage hours of late!

this explains it a bit I think, have to be a bit careful what I say atm.

Yes, coping very well atm thanks. It's like a fantastic holiday . My family are none the wiser, neither are most friends atm.
