Beatrix

a bit more different

wessexghoul · 31/10/2008 16:12

Beatrix is quirkier and cuter, I think.

LaSpooky · 31/10/2008 16:12

Beatrice, classic and lovely.

ilovespinach · 31/10/2008 17:03

Beatrice - beautiful timeless elegant name....nickname Bee or Trixy...

ds2 would have been Beatrice Elisabeth.....

WifeandMotherof4 · 31/10/2008 17:04

I like both.

Tigerschick · 31/10/2008 17:10

I never really thought about this until now but I say them completely differently!

Beatrix becomes something like Beer-trix
Beatrice is Bee-a-triss.

Odd that I've always thought they sounded basically the same!

I think that I prefer Beatrice but don't konw why

hullygully · 31/10/2008 17:11

why?

Lonnie · 31/10/2008 17:56

Beatrix because I love x in names

changer22 · 31/10/2008 22:18

Beatrice

BabyBaby123 · 31/10/2008 22:21

Beatrice

Woollymummy · 31/10/2008 22:35

Beatrix, esp if you like the books by Beatrix Potter. people will assume you do anyway!

tissy · 31/10/2008 22:37

Beatrix, it can be shortened to Trixie!

Sesi · 31/10/2008 22:47

Depends on if you want to encourage Trixie as a nickname. Personally I wouldn't want that, i'd prefer Bea or Bee as the nn so would go for Beatrice.

nickeldime · 02/11/2008 15:53

Beatrix. Beatrice sounds kind of dated has been long declining in popularity from the chart: baby name Beatrice

OrmIrian · 02/11/2008 16:17

Sounds like a good reason to choose it then nickel

dinkymum · 02/11/2008 16:24

id go with Beatrice but thats just my opinion

AbbeyA · 02/11/2008 16:25

I don't like either, but I would go for Beatrix as in Beatrix Potter.

dinny · 02/11/2008 16:35

Beatrix

combustiblelemon · 02/11/2008 16:36

Beatrice.

I have a Beatrice - known invariably as Bea. I obviously think it's a lovely name - but if you all start picking it I will be very vexed!
