Name to go with Anna?

Expecting twin girls - already have dd called Erin - and we've agreed on Anna as one name. I like several others but dh has vetoed them all so now I'm stumped and he's not got any ideas either!

Any suggestions? We'd like them to have different initials so nothing starting with A or E and nothing too flowery.

Thanks!

congratulations polly my twin daughter is called Erin and if the other twin was a girl she would have been called Grace (but he was a boy {grin])

I'm an Anna and my sister (not a twin) is Rachel. I think they go very well together.

Excellent suggestions here thankyou, including several I really like but dh has already scoffed at - but there are several others too I'd not thought of so will suggest them and see what he says!

What did he say? Did he like ANY of them?
[Hopeful that he may like one of my (excellent) suggestions!!!!]

Let us know what you decide.

I'm an Anna, too, and if my younger brother had been a girl he would have been called Kate, which I think works well with my name. By the way, Anna is a great choice, I've always liked it, it's suited me whatever age I've been, it's easy to say/understand in most languages, and it's feminine without being too girly.

I have an Anna and expecting DC2 so will watch this thread with interest !

Haven't given it too much thought yet but so far liking Molly, Constance (Connie), Eliza (oops sorry - no E name), Niamh, Kate.

Caitlin ?

pollyblue · 15/10/2008 20:51

frazzledoldbag34 he likes Claudia! Also Beth, Clare and Rebecca. We both like Kate but one of our closest friends has a Katie plus her older girls name is very similar to Erin so might be too similar for comfort, do like Caitlin though.

Of the names suggested here I love Ruby, Iris, Nancy and Lydia but these have all had the thumbs down sadly......but he's in two minds about Grace, which I also love, so will try a bit of gentle persuasion! If that doesn't work, I think Beth might be the one.

Thanks all!

I know an Anna and Kate and an Anna and Heidi. Both go well together I think.

Anna and Claudia sounds lovely. He sounds like a man of good taste

MorocconOil · 16/10/2008 11:10

Rebecca can be shortened to Beck. Anna and Beck sounds nice.

Friends have twins called Anna and Martha with a sister called Elizabeth. They liked that fact the names were very different but both ended with an a (if that makes any sense?)
