I love the names Sarah and Iris, but I don't think they work with Eliza, too many vowel sounds. Would love your opinions of;

Eliza Darcy
Eliza Wilow
Eliza Constance
Eliza Scarlet
Eliza Phoebe
Eliza Daisy
Eliza Mai/May

Last name is long.

I think they all go fine with Eliza though would not go for Darcey because of the Pride and Prejudice connection. (Also personally am not keen on Willow.)

I really think it depends upon your (and your partner's) taste in names. If you want a classic (and nice) but not v imaginative combination, go for Rose/ Jane/ May, etc.
If you want something a little different then I think Scarlett and Hope are both great.

Actually we are also expecting DC3 (a girl) and Eliza is top/ near top of my list an my favourite combination (before I saw yours) was Eliza Scarlett.
I also really like Eliza Constance, Eliza Maude, Eliza Grace, Eliza Hope but this is my personal taste only!

Good luck deciding.

Jane. It's the only one.

LazyLinePainterJane · 05/10/2008 17:01

LOl at Eliza Beth! Surely not!

Jane fits the best.

Caitlin

Doolittle

MadBadandDangeroustoKnow · 05/10/2008 17:07

Think you need one syllable, to blance the three in Eliza and however many in your surname.

Eliza Jane
Eliza May (as long as your surname isn't a verb - Eliza May Pickett)
Eliza Hope
Eliza Grace
Eliza Belle (err, maybe not)

Janni · 05/10/2008 17:16

Definitely a one syllable middle name eg
Jane or Grace.

petra1 · 05/10/2008 17:50

Eliza Grace is beautiful.

angrypixie · 06/10/2008 09:16

I think Eliza Grace has it and it works beautifully with last name. She'll probably grow up at be 22 stone and ride a Harley Davidson now

Eliza Grace is a beautiful combination.

I like the name Grace so much that it was actually my top choice of first name for DD1 6 years ago (rejected outright by DH unfortunately)!

HairyToadsandHobgoblins · 06/10/2008 09:51

Eliza would be one of my first choices if we had a DD My great gran was an Eliza Ellen, her mother was Eliza too so she was known as Ellen/Nellie though.
Eliza Grace is lovely but I really liked Eliza Constance too.

Anna8888 · 06/10/2008 09:55

Eliza is a lovely name and of the second names proposed in the OP, I like Eliza Constance by far the best.

LuLuBai · 06/10/2008 10:33

I think Eliza Constance has a lovely ring to it.

EsmeWatson · 23/11/2008 11:53

Our little girl is Eliza Catherine. We chose Catherine as it is a family name but I also think it is so lovely with Eliza. I really like Grace and Rose too, but where I am from they seem to be the default middle names at present!!!

RachieB · 23/11/2008 17:42

not sure if its already been mentioned but what about Eliza Dawn?

greedygoose · 23/11/2008 20:29

ooooh we have an Eliza Beatrice! Its a fab name Eliza and gets loads of positive comments!

VerifiedLU4097 · 24/11/2008 09:46

They all sound nice- I quite like Willow. Eliza May makes me sing 'Enola Gay- you shoudl have stayed at home yesterday....' in my head, which obviously does not have nice connotations.

Fimbo · 24/11/2008 09:49

Eliza Jayne

Eliza Poppy

Eliza Sue

Lotster · 24/11/2008 10:41

From your list Eliza May

Alos like Eliza Belle that someone else suggested.

Definately think one syllable will make the flow sound right!

seeker · 24/11/2008 10:42

I know an Eliza Primrose

TheNewsMongrel · 24/11/2008 10:43

Constance jumped out at me, even though I'm not fond of the name. The two together are balanced.

Eliza Phoebe would be gorgeous. Love the name Phoebe.

I'd avoid Rose or Daisy because it's another Z sound.

TheNewsMongrel · 24/11/2008 10:45

I love Eliza Jane, but I think it sounds too familiar. Am I confusing Eliza Jane with Amelia Jane??

I would go for Eliza Joy.
