...just wondering if anyone has a strong reaction about this name (good or bad - I can take it)...

It sounds late 70s/early 80s - I knew several at school from that era. It's also not (sorry!) the classiest of names.

HonoriaGlossop · 29/09/2008 12:11

really don't like it

think it's not an attractive name at all

devonsmummy · 29/09/2008 12:27

Not my cup of tea to be honest.

Kayla or Mickey not too bad as shortened versions though

FlirtyThirty · 29/09/2008 12:35

Thanks ladies...I was undecided...think you are all right though...not the best choice. Will move on...

no,don't like it. It's not a very pretty name and is dated, belongs in the 70s imo, just makes me think of Michaela Strachen the kids presenter

JuneBugJen · 29/09/2008 14:43

Its a bit 80's, also due to michaela Strachen.

MaryAnnSingleton · 29/09/2008 14:45

I'd say no - my best friend is called that and she doesn't like it and is never called it by anyone - a tutor of ours at art school used to pronounce it Mik-i-ay-la - and any shortenings are not nice
