I love the name (my dog is called Ruby!)

You are aware that it was the second most popular name last year? So htere will be a billion Rubys in her class in all probability

Every other girl here is called Ruby, those that arent called Grace anyway. It is the female equivalent of Jack. If her being one of 7 or so in the class doesnt bother you go for it - its a nice name just that everyone else thinks so too!

I love Ruby! I don’t think it’s that popular here in Scotland. I know of only one Ruby who is in her 20s.

AragornsManlyStubble · 20/07/2020 14:01

How about Opal? Very underused I think!
