RubySlippers · 22/09/2008 20:27

isn't it spelt Jana?

what about Lana

Hannah - ooh lovely ...

Sparkletastic · 22/09/2008 20:29

Not keen on Yana - too close to Yoni which I think means fanjo (sure I read it in a Nancy Friday book once ). Really like Anya or Annie.

Heated · 22/09/2008 20:31

Yana is a popular middle-aged Russian name, Anya is more cosmopolitan.

Anya definitely.

minkersmum · 22/09/2008 20:36

yes normally spelt jana but i prefer yana.

yoni/yana not sure they are too similar imo

roxanna/roxanne? too 80's

anna? my grans name already used by others in family

hannah? makes me think plain and fat

diana and eliana just so not my bag.. infact diana made me laugh out loud for some weird reason, made me think of pierced ears and pearls!!!

opinions appreciated tho thanks!

Rosanne might be less 80s, unless an -a ending sounds better with your surname.

Clea
Thea
Liana
Rowena
Morwenna

I quite like Yana/Jana actually

Merrylegs · 22/09/2008 22:19

How about
Astrid?

MrsBadger · 22/09/2008 22:21

Ava?
Aviva?
Lara?

TheFallenMadonna · 22/09/2008 22:21

Eve

LynetteScavo · 22/09/2008 22:22

Anya is pretty, but not Yana, which makes me think frumpy in a nylon pinny, for some reason (Sorry all Yanas out there!)

bamboo · 23/09/2008 10:57

Love Anya.

Yana just reminds me of The Master in Doctor Who now - his human persona was Professor Yana.

What about Alayna....

(not sure how to spell it but you say it as Elaine with an a on the end)

Alayna Blythe (I'm loving Blythe as a middle name, seems to go with most things and sounds sophisticated and elegant)

(again, IMO anyway )
