I think of Mapp and Lucia too. Pretty name though.

V.popular around here due to large Italian community. I like it too. Pronounced "Loocheea" when I've encountered it.

My friend's DD is Lucia, they pronouce it 'Loo-sha'. She was conceived in St Lucia!

Had never thought about pronouncing it Loosha.
Hmmmmmmm not sure to be honest.
Suspect it may be confusing.
But on the positive side it does make me think of someone very beautiful - which is always good!

Oh it reminds me of an old polish lady........friends with my MIL. She was adorable but a little loopy. MIL befriended her and then bad mouthed her after her death because she hadn't been let anything in her will.
