What are the opinions out there on this name??

We are loving it - it would be baby number 5 so we are considering carefully the fit with siblings and we think it ticks that box also. Possible combinations are

Juniper Jean
Juniper Violet
Juniper Sunshine
Juniper Ann
Juniper Gwendolen
Juniper Mary
Juniper Eileen

Most middle names are family names, except (obviously!) Sunshine - which i just love the sound and feeling of!

well if you love it, use it

FlirtyThirty · 16/09/2008 16:31

Juniper Gin ..?

(Sorry...couldn't resist!)

nooka · 16/09/2008 16:37

I wouldn't know whether to expect a boy or a girl for Juniper. In fact I probably would have thought it was a boy. Not really my cup of tea, but each to their own!

earthpixie · 16/09/2008 17:16

It's quite cool in an odd way, a bit like Juno which I'm guessing she will get called!

I like Gwendolen as it rolls off the tongue nicely and was my aunt's name.

MrsMattie · 16/09/2008 17:17

Odd!

BabyBaby123 · 16/09/2008 17:22

it seems like you've already decided on it and if it goes with your other dc names then use it!

Personally I wouldn't use it but everyone has different tastes!

Not sure about the choice of middle names tbh, Juniper Eileen etc seem to be going from one extreme to the other!

LaDiDaDi · 16/09/2008 17:25

I quite like it, I think if I heard it I would be surprised by it rather than dislike it. I think it's " a grower" iyswim. I don't think that sounds as positive as I want it to!

BUT

I only like JUniper Jean from your middle name combos and I think that together they sound fab.

Are your others called Pearl, Iris etc?

mootie · 16/09/2008 19:31

I like Juniper Sunshine. Go for it!

LuLuBai · 16/09/2008 19:38

I love Juniper. Have actually mulled it over myself before.

Juniper Sunshine is ok but personally I think a single syllable would complement Juniper best.

frazzledoldbag34 · 16/09/2008 19:46

OOh tell us what your other DC's are called. (so that we can better advise you, not because I'm a nosy old bag!)

frazzledoldbag34 · 16/09/2008 19:47

Oh and Juniper Jean is my favorite out of your list.

pointydog · 16/09/2008 19:52

well I like Juniper Jean and Jumiper SUnshine.

Hmmm - Juniper Myrtle is a bit too 'herby' isn't it. I've got a little Myrtle growing in a pot outside my front door at the moment. And some Lemon Verbena, but I think Myrtle Verbena is too much for a child's name.

thunk.

pointydog · 16/09/2008 20:00

Juniper Jean/Sunshine is so goddam crazy that it works

frazzledoldbag34 · 16/09/2008 20:01

Juniper Jean the Jumping Bean.
That's what my 7 year old said when I asked her.
Irrelevant I know but now it's stuck in my head.
Do tell the names of your others OP.......

themildmanneredstalker · 16/09/2008 20:01

sorry-just wanted to point out in case you hadn't realised.

the baby is REAL you know. it will be a real person.

not a teddy bear.

you do realise? when it's time for baby to be born..it's not like going to the build a bear factory??

pointydog · 16/09/2008 20:02

ach, Juniper's ok. Can always be shortened to June. We need crazy people

MlleFingeot · 16/09/2008 20:02

I had it on my list but had a boy. Also baby due in June= June Nipper!

But it's very nice.

raindropsonroses · 16/09/2008 20:02

juniper!!

Berry?

MlleFingeot · 16/09/2008 20:04

I don;t think sunshine though. I like to use that as a nickname for loads of children, so it seems a bit odd as a real name iyswim! Have a more normal middle name, more cool and less try-hard
