Naming your ds after your Husband

The problem is that ive used all my boys names up-now the only one left that I like is Mark and that happens to be dhs name. He is unhappy about calling ds3 this but cannot come up with any alternatives at all.
I was thinking of calling ds3 Mark Jason as it flows nicely with our surname, has the only name that dh has toyed with (jason) in it and can be shortened to MJ as a nickname.

Now I am worried about the MJ thing, too like mary jane?
Oh the problem that dh wont really go for it but cant offer anything else.
I would b happy with Jason as a first name but everyone wev'e told it too hates it, dh likes it tho and is the name of a hero of his ( Quealy )

Is it naff to name your child after your dh? does it cause problems?

I love DH name but wouldnt use it as a 1st name for future son as I think it causes confusion ( mail and phone calls) I would alomost definately use it as a middle name though. Thank god DH agrees

I do have a friend and her dad, brother, brothers son all have the same and that IS confusing and a bit annoying tbh.

that is why i refused to tell anyone ds's name before he was born, i didnt want people to say - i dont like it - and put me off

will it not cause arguments that the other two boys dont have daddies name and are jealous etc?

jason is nice btw and not too comon

I would go for Marco or Marcus.

I don't think you should if your husband isn't keen - it's his name after all!

Personally I don't like fathers and sons having the same name, I don't like what it represents. If he really wanted his son named after him then you should consider it but not just because you can't think of anything better.

You will be forever accused of lacking imagination.

i like Jason Mark.
My mom has the same name as her late mother. Mary, shortened to May. She hated it growing up especially her nickname May May. It sounds sweet but you are not an individual.
We always use family (grandparents) names as middle names but this time round we have toyed with calling dc4 the same name as my MIL, Elizabeth. However she has always been called Betty and we know for a fact that no matter how many times we said Elizabeth, everybody would call her "Little Betty."
Still stuck with it as a middle name though.
