DH and I had decided on Nathan John for DS2 and have just realised it's Jonathan in reverse. How dense are we? I'm nearly at my due date now so we're starting to panic. What do people think of Gabriel John, (too Christmasy?) or Kieran John, (too Irish?). Any other ideas?

Love Nathan and if bump is a boy second name will be John as its DHs dads name.

I'd go for it.

Donald.

like all your choices....

How about:
Ethan John
Noah John
Andrew John
Christopher John
Samuel John
Daniel John

Oooo - thanks for all the messages. I'm not v good at keeping up. I love Ethan John. Christopher is DH's name so lovely but won't use that. What about Keiran, can you use it if you're not Irish?

3andnomore · 01/09/2008 22:02

of ocurse you can use Keiran/Kieran if not irish...

verylapsedrunner · 01/09/2008 22:02

DS is John Edward, you could try that in reverse?

mumeeb · 01/09/2008 22:02

Although I should spell it right really. Trying to type too quickly!

Daniel
Nathaniel
Noah
Isaac

Edward is nice. Timeless.
Good idea about maybe christening DS Nathaniel.
I think I may have to see what this little boy looks like when he comes out.

Ds1 is Daniel John which is a fab name imo - initials DJ, and if you're interested in meanings it means;

Daniel - God is my Judge
John - God is gracious.

I was going to suggest Nathaniel too if you did that you could call him Nathan or Nate if you wanted

with a name like John you can choose anything for first name (possible exception Jonathon)

mumeeb · 01/09/2008 22:17

Arggg - don't say anything for a first name - have had so many late night baby naming chats. Definitly need to stick to a shortlist. DH is mulling over Ethan and Nathaniel/ Nathan is still up there thanks to reassurance.
