I know this name has been mentioned before but I am now down to the last six weeks and so have got to think about making a decision. Both dh and I love the name because we are fans of the tv series and so are finding it hard to be objective about the name. Some people we have mentioned the name to have laughed, some just hated it. Our only other name option is Harry, which I like but it just doesn't grab me the same as Dexter but I am concerned that my pregnant brain may make the wrong decision. I want some honest opinions please. What do you really think to the name Dexter? If you don't like it,why?

I think Dexter is a fab name : )

I have a Dexter Miles aged 5,so born before the TV show! Dexter is a fab name and it's great as there are no other Dexters in his school, let alone class!! He is a very cheeky, frckly young man who lives to the beat of his own drum.

I love the name Dexter, and would happily use it if we have a boy, but my DH doesn't agree. Go for it!

Dexter is a fantastic name. If you love it, you should use it. It's a great choice. Which ever name you choose, you will not please everyone. The trouble with the name Harry is that each one I know has to have his surname added to it so you know which one you're talking about.
