Seth or Leo

both good names

and can't be shortened

mamabea · 19/08/2008 19:57

William for me

skidoodle · 19/08/2008 19:57

I like them all, especially Leo.

DH is called Seth, so I wouldn't use that but I think it's a really nice name.

scanner · 19/08/2008 19:58

All of them are great, s'pose I'd avoid Leo because of the Blairs.

EffiePerine · 19/08/2008 19:58

William

ConstanceWearing · 19/08/2008 19:58

I love Seth

Wilkiepedia · 19/08/2008 19:59

Ooo this is interesting - thought everyone would hate Seth!

LOL @ 'can't be shortened'

DH has a weird problem with nicknames, probably because he's jealous that his name can't be shortened.

So beware if you call your son Seth or Leo he might insist on addressing his friends Billy, Archie and Alfie as WIlliam, Archibald and Afred.

chocolatemummy · 19/08/2008 20:05

Theo? like that
dont like Seth
Like Willima

wellbalanced · 19/08/2008 20:05

I only like William but thats just me..

MrsJamin · 19/08/2008 20:27

Seth is becoming really popular, I know 3 little Seths and they are all lovely. I think it's a great name.

S1ur · 19/08/2008 20:29

Will,
then
Seth,
then Leo

But Leo Lewis alliteration could either be fab or terrible. So not very helpful there sorry!

stroppyknickers · 19/08/2008 20:30

ds is leo - lots of them about. Love Seth.

charchargabor · 19/08/2008 20:31

I love Seth! Only really thought about it the other day and I think it's a great name. I quite like William too, but I've heard Leo too much I think. I still like it though!

gagarin · 19/08/2008 20:32

Seth

as long as it's Seth and not Seff!

wessexgirl · 19/08/2008 20:36

Seth is fab. Would have been on my shortlist for a boy, except we have a monosyllabic surname and it sounded a bit terse. I still love it though.

reginaphilangy · 19/08/2008 20:44

William. Don't like the others.

pointydog · 19/08/2008 20:46

Not Leo due to teh surname

PinkyDinkyDooToo · 19/08/2008 20:47

I love Seth, but DH won't hear of it. THe other two are okay, just not my style

notasheep · 19/08/2008 21:02

My nephew is Leo
named after a number of Popes apparently, didnt think it was a very Roman Catholic name, but when i went to Rome i found an entire wall of them, may put you off

Weegiemum · 19/08/2008 21:18

Well this Seth has a 'L' in his name and he is COOL

Seth Lakeman

Very coooool!

fullmoonfiend · 19/08/2008 21:21

Seth love it....

janeite · 19/08/2008 21:23

William would be my choice - I really, really dislike Seth, sorry and if your surname begins with "L" then I wouldn't choose Leo.

hester · 19/08/2008 21:24

I love Seth.

MuffinMclay · 19/08/2008 21:30

William

Leo makes me think of the Blair child. Also would sound odd with an L surname.
