for a girl or a boy?

Not that it matters. I don't like it.

DisenchantedPlusBump · 18/08/2008 12:26

Coronation Street.

PuppyMonkey · 18/08/2008 12:29

Yes... you're probably thinking Hepburn... but it immediately conjures up Roberts (from Corrie) for me...

preggersplayspop · 18/08/2008 12:29

I think I like it. Audrey Tatou.

loobylu3 · 18/08/2008 14:20

I think it'd lovely!

olyoly · 18/08/2008 15:21

I love it. It is due for a comeback!

Hmmm...on the one hand it conjures up a chainsmoking old dear with bleached barnet, on the other hand the divine Audrey Horne from Twin Peaks. I think it could well be a due a comeback; Audrey Tatou is tipping it towards Horne territory

Miaou · 18/08/2008 15:28

i Like it

PootyApplewater · 18/08/2008 15:29

puts me in mind of:

audrey II, the carnivorous plant in 'little shop of horrors'.

and my former, incessantly nosey, neighbour, who was about 77 years old, and smelt of cheese.

LaDiDaDi · 18/08/2008 15:30

I like it.

jellyrolly · 18/08/2008 15:45

Very sweet and refined, it was high up on my list for girls.

Stars22 · 19/08/2008 10:30

I think its horrible..sorry

I love it. Want it for DD2 but keep getting very negative reactions. MiL had nightmares about it when we told her it was on the list.

serenity · 19/08/2008 10:35

It's my nazi Nans name, who's very much a 'woman of her generation'. I actually quite like it, although I can't imagine using it myself

Disclaimer: I love my Nan very much, but she has 'views' that are better left undiscussed, so we generally ply her with alcohol and talk of happier things

wellbalanced · 19/08/2008 10:55

I hate it... Sorry its awful.

madcol · 19/08/2008 10:56

Forbes-hamilton ...to the manor born

wheresthehamster · 19/08/2008 10:58

My lovely auntie's name. It's great for shortening - Aud, Audie.

Go for it!

meglet · 19/08/2008 11:06

ace name

nellyonthetelly · 19/08/2008 12:26

Hi Meglet - I like it, although not sure I'd use it. I remember hearing a Mum shouting it in a play park - Audrey was about 4, and it seemed a slightly odd name for a little one. However, think its a million times better than Grace, Emily etc. And Audrey Horne is my all time style icon! (Twin Peaks)

Lakelover · 19/08/2008 12:32

I love Audrey. Gorgeous name, and agree with others - the stunning Audrey Horne springs straight to mind for me!

Love it, I think it is due a comeback it's my nan's name and wanted to call DD it but DH hated it so I think people are pretty split on it.

Called her Grace instead

Fimbo · 19/08/2008 12:42

I know a couple of Audrey's. Always shortened to Aud which is dire.
